Connecting goods, people and services for a sustainable future

The 2nd Angola-European Union Business Forum, held in Luanda on November 17, 2023 by the European Union in partnership with the Angolan government, was attended by hundreds of people in person and online.

The Forum brought together the European Union and the Angolan government; EU member states and their companies interested in investing in the country, as well as Angolan companies operating in the sectors covered; financial institutions that can support investors in Angola and Europe; and private sector support agencies, such as the Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX).

Angola has been implementing measures to improve its business environment, diversify exports and strengthen the country's infrastructure. The European Union and its Member States, as the country's main trade and investment partners, are committed to supporting these reforms to promote economic diversification, sustainable growth and the creation of decent jobs.

Debates, sharing, B2B & B2G meetings and much more

On November 17, the Forum was the ideal stage to discuss the progress made in Angola, the cooperation instruments with the EU and the key issues in 6 fundamental sectors for investment: agri-food; fisheries; transport and logistics; green energy; digitalization; and critical and strategic raw materials. In parallel, there were meetings between businesspeople (B2B) and meeting sessions between businesspeople and Angolan public institutions (B2G). The Forum was followed live via an electronic platform on which 1000 people registered.

This week, the same platform allows registered entrepreneurs to hold online meetings with potential partners interested in the same business opportunities. Synergies between the Angolan and European private sectors are at the heart of all the activities at this 2nd Business Forum.
